Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income families. The purpose of the Early Head Start program is to enhance children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development; support parents’ efforts to fulfill their roles; and help them move toward self-sufficiency.

Early Head Start programs serve pregnant women and families with children from birth to age three who are at or below 100 percent of the federal poverty level (a family of four can earn up to ,350 per year). There are no parent fees for this program. To learn more visit www.ehsnrc.org.

Coalition News: Hurricane Ian

In response to Hurricane Ian, the Early Learning Coalition of SWFL is dedicated to providing information and assistance to childcare providers of Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.

School Readiness Providers:  School Readiness reimbursements for September are anticipated to be released on schedule.  If you are able to log into the Provider Portal, please record facility closures for September and submit your attendance.  Payment will NOT be delayed if you are not able to access the portal due to loss of power or internet.

VPK Providers:  VPK Advance has been processed for all providers contracted for advance payments.  VPK reimbursements for September are anticipated to be released on schedule.  If you are able to log into the Provider Portal, please record facility closures for September and submit your attendance.  Payment will NOT be delayed if you are not able to access the portal due to loss of power or internet.
