Taking the Sting out of Biting

The goal of this session is to help childcare providers understand the potential reasons why young children bite, and to offer them effective strategies to address biting in the early childhood classroom
.• Participants will identify a minimum of 5 developmental and environmental reasons why infants and toddlers bite
•Participants will be able to list strategies to use when the infants and toddlers in their classrooms bite others
•Participants will be able to list things they can do to help prevent biting, both in, and outside, the classroom
