Session 2: Spark Science and Nurturing Early Math with Frame Their Learning Young children have a natural inclination toward inquiry and curiosity, which are crucial abilities
that aid them in exploring, understanding, and making sense of their surroundings. We will also discuss fun and educational math activities for children. We’ll cover counting,
patterns, shapes, sorting, and spatial relationships. Teachers can create a math and scientific focused environment that encourages learning through play by asking questions and using
advanced vocabulary.
This Frame Their Learning session presents intentional questioning techniques to ensure that children fully engage in activities such as experimenting, making predictions, commenting on
real-life experiences, and adding mathematical concepts. This will provide repeated opportunities for children to discover and learn scientific principles, attributes, and characteristics that will spark their curiosity while increasing their language and vocabulary.
