Preparing Children for Kindergarten Success – STEAM

Using tools and plans in the classroom to support kindergarten readiness. Strategies will include collaboration with a public school kindergarten teacher with examples of resources for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math). Florida Early Learning and Development Standards for Scientific Inquiry Components will include: Scientific Inquiry through Exploration and Discovery, Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space, Environment, Engineering and Technology, and how skills taught in Pre-K will scaffold for kindergarten readiness.
