The Early Math Class - Making Sense of Sets and Numbers (Math 1) is not a mandatory class, but is best practice for helping VPK children learn math concepts. The Class will be offered by Laura Delgado twice in our Coalition in April You must register via the DCF website

The goal of this class is to help identify routines and times throughout the day in which interactions between teachers and children can be more effective and fun.

To help support teachers in incorporating music appreciation, and awareness into the early childhood classroom. To assist teachers in planning effective music and movement experiences that engage students, get them moving, and burn off energy. To help foster movement, and an understanding for patterns, rhythm, pitch, and tone.

Instructional Implications: Using their data from VPK Assessment, providers will begin to link the results of assessment to planning instruction for their class, as well as individual children within the class.     Participants must register on the DCF website.
