Making Sense of Sets and Numbers

This 3-hour instructor-led training is designed for instructors of Preschool age children who will gain early math knowledge and practical information about how to structure the classroom environment and plan activities to integrate math concepts and skills throughout the learning day. The training focuses on the number sense standards outlined in the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards for Four-Year-Olds (2011) and the importance of using a developmental progression when teaching math throughout the day.

Space is limited to 20 participants per training. Registration is available online through the Department of Children and Families.

This is a free training and 0.3 CEUs will be awarded (through the DCF department) upon successful completion of the training.
